Tensioncore Web Hosting is the result of over a year of planning alone, and very hard work by a few individuals from Tensioncore Administration Services. The business now, is very professional and reliable, and this should not be doubted. We conduct our business in a manner that will be benificial to anyone in which we do business with or around, and yet we keep it personal and down to earth.
Our web hosting evolved from an average evaluation/Beta test of Windows Server Codenamed "Longhorn"(TM:Microsoft), into a fully developed project to harness the power and new technologies into a Business Candidate. The Project was referred to as the CatFoodProject (CFP) and lasted from March of 2007 until the official business registration of Tensioncore Administration Services on September 26th 2008.
Initial testing and project development was carried out on basic, middle-end tower computers, with no real power, as the project developed the existing hardware was not efficient enough to handing the loads and traffic that we started bringing to it through remote testing and Graphics processing (for game development projects).
We provisioned our first real server, a stripped Dell PowerEdge 2450 2U Rackmount Server, in late 2007. This server was only the beginning of the infrastructure that we have now.
The project evolved in such a manner, that it became the foundation to building a potential business, in which it did. Thousands of man hours have been spent perfecting every aspect of our business, our web hosting solutions, the website and server back-end of things.
Our network is backed by Shaw Business Solutions Business internet and the BIG fiber-optic network which crosses North America. Bandwidth will never be a problem, and we plan on removing bandwidth limits in the future. Our hardware is on 24/7/365, with very minimal reboots (4-10 per year; as to allow for major software improvements etc).
We have very advanced technologies in place with the business now, and are in the market for new DELL server hardware, with intentions of mass virtualization for our next project "VHosting", a plan to offer fully featured hosting in a Virtual invironment for $1 per month.
